Having been born to unconventional parents during the more Bohemian days of the small Oregon beach town Cannon Beach, Sally Lackaff has spent her life as an artist combining the aesthetics of that time with her own fascination in the natural world.

As a child Sally travelled and lived with her family in Western Europe, resulting in the influence of various other design and illustrative periods from throughout the history of art. She also developed a very early obsession with the miniature details of nature, which she attempts to incorporate into every piece of art she creates.

Entirely self-taught, Sally revels in the broad spectrum of mediums, design styles and techniques she is drawn to.  She is grateful for an audience which allows her to indulge equally in illustration, embroidery, and her passion for scavenging.
